Legacies: Our Neighbors Lead and Inspire
Upon retiring from the position of city council president of Philadelphia, Daryl Clark wanted to give a gift to the neighborhood that he grew up in North Philadelphia of Sharswood/Strawberry Mansion. He decided to honor 3 community leads that had immense influence on this neighborhood. Additionally, we were adding to the legacy of the previous iconic mural on 2 sides of the rec center that depicted MLK in his Selma march designed by original AAD founder Willis Nomo Humphrey.
